Where in the Bible do unclean spirits attach themselves to people?

Question: Where in the Bible do unclean spirits attach themselves to people?

Answer: When a person decides to live for Jesus (born-again), he’s actually ridding himself of evil spirits; Luke 11:24, “when the unclean spirit is gone out of a man…..” The evil spirit having been evicted is now homeless; Luke 11:24, “…..he walketh through dry places, seeking rest…..” When that unclean spirit cannot find a place to rest, he returns to the person from whom he was evicted; Luke 11:24, “…..seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.” When the unclean spirit finds that the person is still living for God; he cannot live there any more; Luke 11:25, “…..when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.” The unclean spirit then returns to the world for reinforcements, where he finds other evil spirits worst than himself; Luke 11:26, “then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself…..” Now it is a total of eight unclean spirits. They return to that person and take up residency; Luke 11:26, “…..and they enter in, and dwell there…..” Let it been known that those evil spirits cannot enter into an individual unless that person invites them into his life; James 4:7, “submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” Evil spirits are constantly in the world and seeking a place to reside; 1 Pet. 5:8, “…..your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” Although evil spirits are always present, all we have to do is barricade the entrance to our hearts, by seeking the kingdom of God and his righteousness; 1 Pet. 5:8, “be sober, be vigilant…..”
