Answer:<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The covenant mentioned in Jer. 31:31-34 is not another covenant at all. It is the same covenant because God\u2019s commandments do not change. God\u2019s laws do not change unless they are fulfilled. The difference between the Old Covenant and the so-called New Covenant is that man does not have to practice the laws concerning blood sacrifices any more, because Jesus fulfilled all of the blood sacrifices when He died on the cross. Jesus did not abolish the Old Testament, he came to fulfill a portion of it; Mat. 5:17, \u201cthink not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.\u201d<\/p>\n
The reason God was displeased with Israel, is because they were not following the commandments of sacrifices and offerings. Under the Old Covenant,\u00a0His commandments were written in tablets of stone. Now under the New Covenant,\u00a0His commandments are written in mankind\u2019s heart.<\/p>\n
