Or do God&#8217;s instructions in the covenant make the obvious contradictions morally and legally righteous in God&#8217;s eyes to go against His own word?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Answer:<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Torah (Old Testament, Law) never changes unless it has been fulfilled. One of the original 10 Commandments states that thou shall not kill, but that statement has to be qualified. One should not engage in premeditated murder, but one does have the right to defend him self. Throughout Old Testament scripture, Israel was involved in wars. It\u2019s no different today; if Israel is engaged in a war she has a legal and moral right to defend her self, so long as Israel was not the aggressor; Rom. 12:18, \u201cIf it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.\u201d Sometimes it just impossible to live in peace because of continued acts of aggression. When ones is not defending him self, then he should love his neighbor.<\/p>\n<p>There are never any contradictions with God\u2019s word. God is the same, yesterday, today, and forever.
