{"id":415,"date":"2011-06-29T16:15:25","date_gmt":"2011-06-29T20:15:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tbecm.org\/wp\/?p=415"},"modified":"2017-07-05T14:07:56","modified_gmt":"2017-07-05T18:07:56","slug":"same-sex-marriage","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/epistleofchrist.org\/?page_id=415","title":{"rendered":"Same Sex Marriage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">New York is the sixth state to sanction same sex marriages.\u00a0 I understand that churches are already making appointments to perform these ceremonies.\u00a0 How can these churches justify same sex marriages?\u00a0 Are these scripture not in their Bibles? <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00b7<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">Lev.18:22, \u201cthou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it <em>is<\/em> abomination.\u201d<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00b7<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\">Rom. 1:26-27<strong> <\/strong>For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did <em>change the natural use<\/em> into that which is against nature: <strong>\u00a0<\/strong>And likewise also the men, <em>leaving the\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 natural use<\/em> of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; <em>men with men working that which is unseemly<\/em>, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;\">The argument used to justify this union is equal rights in reference to beneficiaries.
