{"id":854,"date":"2011-12-31T10:31:22","date_gmt":"2011-12-31T14:31:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/epistleofchrist.org\/?p=854"},"modified":"2013-03-25T07:54:33","modified_gmt":"2013-03-25T11:54:33","slug":"new-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/epistleofchrist.org\/?p=854","title":{"rendered":"New Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As 2011 ends and 2012 begin, we need to access exactly what it means to enter into the New Year.\u00a0 Oftentimes we think that our past life will end with the old year.\u00a0 No, life goes on as usual.\u00a0 One does not get a new identity just because we have a new year. \u00a02011 will be ending, but our current situations will remain the same.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The New Year is not the end of all things.\u00a0 Nothing will change with the end of 2011 and beginning of 2012, except the calendar.\u00a0 Your entire life, whether good or bad, is all transferred from the old to the new.\u00a0 Last year should be looked upon as an instrument to measure future growth in the New Year.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In years past we, take the New Year as a time to build a new life.\u00a0 Perhaps, this year we should take a different approach.\u00a0 <em>Do not attempt to build a new life but rather improve on the old one<\/em>.\u00a0 By improving on the old, we are actually creating something new.\u00a0 It\u2019s like remodeling a kitchen.\u00a0 After the remodeling is complete, we still have the same kitchen, but with new and improved contents; therefore making it far better.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Each New Year, most people always make what they call New Year\u2019s resolutions.
