Life After Death

I have crossed paths with individuals that believe that in this life; one live; one dies; one is buried; and that ends it. They believe that the only part that remains of an individual after death is the memories or his legacy. They think that life ends at death.
I am more than happy to inform you that life does not end at death, but it actually begins at death; Ecc.7:1, “a good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one’s birth.” At death, life does not end; it is the body that dies, but the soul continues to live; Mt. 10:28, “…..fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul…..” Once an individual dies, his body decays, but his soul continues to live as referenced in John 11:26; “…..whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die…..” Another scripture making mention of this fact is John 5:24; “…..but is passed from death unto life.” Neither of these scriptures are referring to one’s body, but referring to his soul. It is the soul that passes from death to life; 1Cor. 15:50, “…..flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God…..”
At death a person’s soul separates from his body. The body is buried and the soul goes to be judged; Heb. 9:27, “…..it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment…..” This judgment is when life after death begins and everyone will experience it; 2Cor. 5:10, “…..we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ…” At the judgment seat of Christ, every individual will be judged according to his deeds; Rom. 2:5-6, “…..righteous judgment of God….. who will render to every man according to his deeds…..” Death or judgment is the end of our natural life, but the beginning of life after death; Dan. 12:2, “…..many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.” Death is only the end of our present life but it is the beginning of our new life; rendering life after death.
