Who were the Pharisees and the Sadducees?

Question:           Who were the Pharisees and the Sadducees? 

Answer:          Pharisees                     they are Fair-you-see

                        Sadducees                   they are Sad-you-see

The Pharisees is a Jewish religious group that adheres strictly to Jewish traditions. 

The Sadducees is a Jewish religious group that opposes the Pharisees.  Both groups are closely tied to the workings of the temple but there is a slight difference in their doctrines; Acts, 23:8, “…..the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, neither angel, nor spirit: but the Pharisees confess both.”  The Scribes is another Jewish religious group that has close ties to the workings of the temple.  Their primary job was recording the laws and traditions of the temple.  Some of the Scribes believed the doctrines of the Pharisee because they believed in spirits and angels; Acts 23:9, “…..the scribes that were of the Pharisees’ part….. if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him…..”
