Question: What is the Lord’s glory?
Answer: The Lord’s glory is a combination of things. It consists of love, honor, power, might, etc. There are two types of glory; glory to God and the glory of God. When one praises God, honors God, and worships God, he’s are giving glory to God. The glory of God is quite different; the Lord’s glory is his presence. Moses was talking to God and asked Him to see his glory; Exo. 33:18, “….. shew me thy glory.” The Lord informed Moses that he could only reveal a part of himself; Exo. 33:20-23, “…..thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live…..while my glory passeth by…..will cover thee with my hand while I pass by…..I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts…..” The glory of the Lord is his presence when we can see all of him; even his face; 1 Joh.3:2, “…..we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.”
