- Daniel is the 27th book of the Bible, and it consists of 12 chapters and 357 verses. It is a book of prophecy, revealing many dreams and visions. It references Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace. It speaks of King's Nebuchadnezzar's seven-year ordeal of living and eating with the animals, Daniel in the lion's den, and the handwriting on the wall. This book also gives important information concerning the end times when read in conjunction with the book of Revelation.
